Nigerian singer and songwriter Niniola Apata, popularly known as Niniola, is in mourning following the death of her husband, Michael Ndika, affectionately called Big Mike.

Ndika, the Chief Executive Officer of NaijaReview, a prominent digital media platform, passed away under circumstances that were not immediately made public. Niniola announced his death on her social media handles on Tuesday, posting a black image with the words "Rest in peace, my love."

The news has triggered an outpouring of grief and condolences from across the Nigerian entertainment industry. Fellow musicians, producers, and fans have flooded social media with messages of support for the singer, who is known for hits such as "Maradona," "Sicker," and "Boda Sodiq."

Niniola, the elder sister of Grammy-nominated singer Teni, has requested privacy for the family during this difficult period. Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in the coming days.
