A man was shot dead by suspected gunmen while on his way to church at Fann community in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, according to residents.
The shooting occurred at around 8 a.m. on Sunday, sending residents into panic. A local resident, Erica Dung, confirmed the incident and expressed sorrow over the killing, describing it as yet another attack on the community.
She said residents are growing increasingly anxious over the recurring pattern of attacks and killings across the LGA.

Reacting to the incident, Rwang Tengwong, Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youth Moulders, condemned the killing and called for urgent action to protect residents.

The attack adds to a string of recent killings in Barkin Ladi, one of the local government areas hardest hit by Plateau's ongoing wave of communal and herder-related violence.
