Over 1,000 Displaced Children Receive Educational Materials In Benue IDP Camp

Over 1,000 displaced children in Benue State receive educational materials through OPay-C-CARE partnership.

MAKURDI, BENUE STATE — Over 1,000 internally displaced children at the Benue State Mega IDP Camp in Makurdi have received educational materials through an intervention by OPay Digital Services Limited in partnership with the Comfort Centre for Child Advocacy, Response and Empowerment (C-CARE).

The initiative aims to ensure that children displaced by violence continue to have access to education despite the challenging circumstances they face. The donation included books, writing materials, and other learning aids.

The Benue State Mega IDP Camp hosts thousands of families who have fled attacks in their communities. Many of the children have been out of school for months or even years.

Access to education is critical for the future of displaced children. Initiatives like this provide hope and opportunity for children who have been uprooted by violence.
