Operatives of the Force Intelligence Department–Intelligence Response Team (FID-IRT) have arrested 33 suspected members of a criminal network linked to terrorism, kidnapping, and armed robbery across the country.
The Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Placid, disclosed this on Monday during a press briefing at the FID-IRT headquarters in Abuja. He confirmed that operatives recovered an anti-aircraft launcher and several high-grade weapons from the suspects.
The arrests are part of ongoing efforts by the Nigeria Police Force to dismantle criminal networks fueling insecurity across the country. The suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
