The Nigerian Beach Soccer team, the Supersand Eagles, will test their mettle against some of Europe's emerging beach soccer nations when they face England, Germany, and hosts Ghana at the One Humanity Beach Soccer Festival in Accra, Ghana, from 8 to 10 May, 2026.

The invitational tournament, organised by the One Humanity Foundation in partnership with the Ghana Football Association, is designed to promote beach soccer on the African continent and foster international goodwill through sport. It is one of the highest-profile beach soccer events to be held in West Africa in recent years.

Nigeria arrives in Accra as one of Africa's most established beach soccer nations, having competed at multiple Beach Soccer World Cups and the African Beach Soccer Championships. The Supersand Eagles last featured at the World Cup in 2019 and have been rebuilding with a blend of experienced campaigners and young talents drawn from the domestic beach soccer league.

The tournament format will see the four nations compete in a round-robin phase, followed by a final. Nigeria's first match is against Germany on 8 May, followed by England on 9 May, and the clash with hosts Ghana on 10 May.

"We are ready. This is a great opportunity for the team to test itself against strong European opposition and to prepare for the upcoming African qualifiers. The boys are motivated," Supersand Eagles head coach Abdullahi Isa told Prime Brief Media.

The tournament will be played at the Laboma Beach Soccer Arena, and organisers say admission will be free to encourage maximum attendance.
