The Nigeria National League Super Four tournament will draw to a close today at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, with the four promotion-chasing sides competing for a ₦10 million winner's prize and the honour of being crowned top side in the second tier.

The tournament, which began on 4 May, has featured Sporting Lagos, Inter Lagos, Doma United, and Ranchers Bees — the four clubs that topped their respective conferences. The round-robin format has produced thrilling encounters, with goals, drama, and the kind of grassroots passion that NNL Chairman George Aluo described as "the untapped gold of Nigerian football."

"Every match here has been competitive. The quality on display shows that the gap between the NNL and the NPFL is not as wide as many think. Our goal is to make the Super Four a permanent and growing fixture in the Nigerian football calendar," Aluo told Prime Brief Media on the sidelines of the tournament.

Sporting Lagos, who have built a loyal grassroot following since their formation, were considered pre-tournament favourites and have lived up to the billing. However, Doma United from Gombe and the Kano-based Ranchers Bees have proven formidable opponents, while Inter Lagos have added Lagos-City rivalry flavour to the contest.

Scouts from Nigeria Professional Football League clubs and a few European academies have been in attendance, with several players expected to secure moves based on their performances.

The final match and trophy presentation are scheduled for this evening, with gates open to fans free of charge.
