The Plateau State Police Command has announced the arrest of a 31-year-old suspected cultist and the recovery of a human skull alongside an illegal firearm in Jos, marking what the police describe as a significant breakthrough in ongoing operations against cultism, illegal arms possession, and banditry.
Briefing journalists on 1 May, 2026, at the Command Headquarters in Jos, the Commissioner of Police, Bassey Ewah, confirmed the arrest of the suspect, identified as David Ponnan.
