Kaduna, Nigeria | By Prime Brief Media

In separate attacks, bandits killed four residents and abducted 11 others in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, the police confirmed on Wednesday.

The assailants, armed with rifles and travelling on motorcycles, stormed several villages, shooting sporadically. Four persons were killed on the spot, including a farmer and his two sons. Eleven others, mostly women and children, were abducted and taken into the forest.

The Kaduna State Police Command has deployed tactical units to the area. "We are on the trail of the bandits. Rescue operations are ongoing," a police spokesperson said.

Residents expressed anger. "We have reported these bandits' movements many times. The government knows their camps. Why don't they act?" a community elder said.

The state government has not yet commented.

Prime Brief Media will monitor the rescue efforts.
