CHICAGO, USA — At least 12 people were injured after gunmen opened fire on a crowd in a drive-by shooting on Chicago's South Side late Friday, authorities have confirmed.
According to the Chicago Police Department, an SUV pulled up to a gathering before two individuals inside the vehicle began firing multiple rounds into the crowd. The suspects fled immediately after the attack and remain at large as investigators continue their search.
The victims eight men and four women ranging in age from 17 to 47 were rushed to several area hospitals. Police said two of the victims are in critical condition, while the remaining victims are being treated for injuries ranging from serious to non-life-threatening.
