LAFIA, Nasarawa State — June 30, 2026
Governor Abdullahi A. Sule has presented Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination forms to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates contesting for Senate and House of Representatives seats in Nasarawa State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The presentation ceremony took place on Tuesday at the Government House in Lafia and was attended by the APC State Chairman, Hon. Aliyu Bello, PhD, the State Organising Secretary, Barr. Hassan Wali, and other senior party officials.
Speaking during the event, Governor Sule congratulated the candidates on securing the party's nomination and urged them to conduct peaceful, issue-based campaigns throughout the electioneering period.
He encouraged the candidates to remain connected to the electorate, promote unity, and uphold the ideals and values of the APC as they seek public support.
The governor also expressed confidence in the party's candidates and assured them of the APC's continued backing as they prepare for the 2027 polls.
Responding on behalf of the candidates, the APC Senatorial Candidate for Nasarawa South, Hon. Abubakar Hassan Nalaraba, thanked Governor Sule for what he described as his leadership and commitment to the growth of the party.
Nalaraba pledged that the party's candidates would remain faithful to the principles of the APC, engage voters with humility and respect, and work diligently to justify the confidence placed in them.
He also expressed optimism that the APC would secure victory in the 2027 general elections with the support of the people of Nasarawa State.
The presentation of the nomination forms marks another step in the APC's preparations for the 2027 general elections as political parties continue to mobilise their candidates and supporters ahead of the nationwide polls.
