JOS, Plateau State — Three persons have been killed and two others injured following an attack by gunmen on a mining site at Nyango in Gyel District, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when the assailants reportedly stormed the mining site and opened fire on workers and other persons at the location.
According to reports, three victims died during the attack, while two others sustained varying degrees of injuries. The injured victims were reportedly evacuated to a medical facility for treatment.
The motive behind the attack was not immediately known, and there was no official confirmation on the identity of the gunmen at the time of filing this report.
