Nigeria's Super Eagles have maintained their position as the 26th‑best national team in the world in the latest FIFA Men's World Ranking, despite suffering a slight drop in ranking points.

The three‑time African champions remain 26th globally with 1,585.02 points, although they lost 1.67 points during the ranking period. The ranking reflects Nigeria's mixed results in the June international window, including a 2‑1 defeat to Portugal and a 2‑2 draw against Poland.

Morocco climbed to a historic seventh place – the highest ever by an African nation. The Atlas Lions' rise follows their impressive run in World Cup qualifying and their consistent performances in international friendlies.

Other African nations in the top 30 include Senegal (18th), Tunisia (21st), and Egypt (29th). Nigeria's West African rivals, Ghana, dropped to 45th.

Maintaining 26th position provides some stability for the Super Eagles after a period of fluctuating performances under coach Eric Chelle. The team is unbeaten in most of his tenure, but the defeat to Portugal ended a 12‑match unbeaten run.

The Super Eagles will next be in action during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers later this year. A strong performance could see them climb back into the top 20.
