Tinubu Warns Criminals After Troops Kill Kogi Bandit Leader

ABUJA, NIGERIA — President Bola Tinubu has warned criminal elements across the country that they will have no hiding place, following the killing of a notorious bandit leader in Kogi State by Nigerian troops.

The bandit leader, identified as Ibrahim Bastuji, was eliminated during a coordinated security operation. President Tinubu commended the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies involved in the successful operation.

In a statement, the President declared that the government would continue to pursue criminals relentlessly until peace and security are restored across the nation. The operation also led to the rescue of Hajiya Amina Rabe Abubakar, widow of the late Major General Rabe Abubakar.
