HAJJ 2026: NAHCON ORGANISES SPECIAL PRAYERS FOR NIGERIA AT ARAFAT

Makkah, Saudi Arabia – By Prime Brief Media

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria on Tuesday convened a special intercessory prayer session for Nigeria on the plains of Mount Arafat, as millions of pilgrims from across the world performed the most important rite of the 2026 Hajj.

NAHCON Chairman, Malam Jalal Arabi, led the session, which brought together Nigerian clerics, pilgrims, and officials. Prayers were offered in Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, and other Nigerian languages, focusing on peace, security, national development, and the peaceful conduct of the 2027 general election.

"Mount Arafat is the mountain of mercy. We have prayed for our leaders, for our security forces, for our economy, and for our people. Nigeria will rise again," Arabi said.

The session was held at the Nigerian pilgrims' camp on the plains of Arafat, where over 95,000 Nigerian pilgrims joined the global congregation of over two million Muslims for the spiritual climax of the annual pilgrimage. The pilgrims spent the day in prayer and supplication, seeking divine intervention for their personal lives and for their nation.

The 2026 Hajj has been described as one of the best-organised in recent years, with improvements in accommodation, transportation, and healthcare for Nigerian pilgrims. The pilgrims are now moving to Muzdalifah before proceeding to Mina for the symbolic stoning of the devil.

Prime Brief Media will continue to monitor developments as they unfold.
