Police Arrest 35 Suspects in Abuja crime Crackdown

Abuja, FCT – By Prime Brief Media

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has announced the arrest of 35 suspects linked to a range of criminal activities, following a series of intelligence-led raids across satellite towns over the past week.

FCT Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Sanusi, confirmed the arrests in a statement on Friday. He said the suspects were apprehended in operations targeting criminal hideouts in Kubwa, Karu, Bwari, and Kuje. Items recovered include stolen vehicles, firearms, hard drugs, and cash believed to be proceeds of crime.

"The FCT Police Command is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents. We are intensifying patrols, surveillance, and community engagement. Criminals will find no safe haven in the Federal Capital Territory," CP Sanusi said.

The Commissioner urged residents to cooperate with the police by providing timely and credible information. He also warned landlords and hotel operators against harbouring criminal elements, stating that those found complicit would face prosecution.

The FCT has experienced occasional security breaches, including kidnappings and armed robberies, prompting increased vigilance by security agencies.

Prime Brief Media will continue to track security and rescue efforts across the state as this story develops.
