Community Lists Victims of Reported Sai Attack in Sai Community, Katsina Ala LGA

A community appeal has identified 5  people reportedly killed and 13 others injured following the recent attack on Sai Community in Katsina-Ala LGA of Benue State. Authorities are yet to officially confirm the names.

KATSINA-ALA, BENUE STATE – July 3, 2026

A community appeal has identified five people reportedly killed and 13 others injured following the recent armed attack on Sai Community in Mbajir, Shitile, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.



The list, released by community leaders on Friday, comes as residents continue to mourn the victims of the attack, which forced many families to flee their homes and prompted emergency humanitarian assistance from the Benue State Government through the Benue State Emergency Management Agency (Benue-SEMA).

Prime Brief Media notes that the identities released by the community have not yet been independently verified by security agencies or the Benue State Government.

According to the community appeal, those reportedly killed are:

1. Aondohemba Amogema
2. Kumbur Makar
3. Tordue Mzuughga
4. Mchiaga Akaa
5. Denen Nengenga

The community also identified the following persons as having sustained injuries during the attack:

1. Namibo Orakaa
2. Nhuher Iortule
3. Vihimga Sengohol
4. Kashimana Vihimga
5. Kadoon Kaaityoga
6. Langa Anadoo
7. Amo Henate
8. Laadi Agber
9. Shaorga Msendoo
10. Kundushima Mngusonon
11. Mfatyoga Terkimbi
12. Terkimbi Verashe
13. Orahembaga Doochii

Security agencies and the Benue State Government have acknowledged the attack on Sai Community but have not officially released a verified casualty list or confirmed the identities of those affected.

Governor Hyacinth Alia has already directed security agencies to deploy additional personnel to the area and launch a manhunt for those responsible for the attack.
