The All Progressives Congress primaries in Benue State have delivered a stunning rejection of the political status quo, with all sitting APC senators defeated and denied return tickets for the 2027 general elections.

The most striking result came in Benue North East, where former Governor Gabriel Suswam, who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the APC, crushed incumbent Senator Emmanuel Udende by 131,083 votes to just 1,364. In Benue North West, Aber Terseer defeated Senator Titus Zam, while in Benue South, Francis Otta Agbo unseated the incumbent. Across the House of Representatives, six sitting members also lost their return tickets, as delegates voted overwhelmingly for change.
